Mid-week Beach Update from Florida

The Mckinney and Teichman family are in Seacrest Florida enjoying the beautiful clear waters and the surf. The little girls spend most of their time digging in the sand while the older kids are trying their best to body surf. There are long trails for bike rides, a friendly community of restaurants and shops within walking distance and a large pool to play in.
There was the small incident involving a rattlesnake last night. Let’s just say the identification via the www led us to make the choice to rid the world of one less snake. Jackson “ran it through” with his handy pocketknife after it was killed by scooter. There are many iguanas around and the word is out that iguana island (an undeveloped lot) is no longer a refuge for the reptiles.
Hopefully today we’ll get to the pier.

Winding down from school. Winding up for fun.
First, we are trying to figure out the digital issue of putting up a video. There seems to be an issue with the audio. Though, admittedly, it could be operator error. I will get a video up once I figure it out.
For now, we’ve been up to some exciting things.
Emma has been competeing successfully in dance. She is having a lot of fun and her season ends May 30th. She will do summer dance, because she is required to.
Lilli is starting dance this summer as well. She wants to have her hair in rollers, regardless of no performance. However, she didn’t sleep too well, so I’m not sure we’re going to be keeping that option open.
Jackson is doing great in school and is looking forward to a summer home, with his friends. He’s a biking man and can’t wait to go swimming and fishing.
Lillianne’s Birthday
Lillianne turned three earlier this month. She loves Hello Kitty and so she asked for, what she calls, a “Catty Birthday.” She also requested McDonald’s for dinner. Here is a little glimpse into her perfect day… Catty dress and all.

Saturday Fun

Oreo the cat is happiest of all - since he calls outdoors his playground. He tells us that his friends, the goundhogs, are nearly ready to play.

Today’s weather is in the 50s and we are beginning to let our hearts believe that the spring is coming. As mom stepped from the shower this morning, she considered the barking dog and looked out the bathroom window to peer for visitors. Just outside, in the 2008 butterfly garden, a few new peculiarities exist. We decided to hunt for signs of spring. This is what we found:

Our friends (Emma's sweethearts) are flocking home
We Can Ski
We left on Thursday, February 25th, Daddy’s birthday at 9:26 p.m., after out baths. Because we don’t like to ride in the car, we slept! We woke the next morning to Denver, and after breakfast, Lilli got sick as we got to the top of our first mountain. After cleanup and drugging, we kept on toward Breckenridge in a snowstorm. We arrived to a snowy village and our hotel about 9:30. We rested, rented skis and looked around. Moma and Papa come in that evening and we all went to dinner at the local Brewery. It was great fun!
The next morning we started by taking on the bunny hill.

Assignment #1: Ride the magic carpet and learn to snow plow (make a pizza)
By the end of that day, we were tired but hooked. We looked forward to the next day of ski school when Jackson went up on the bigger mountain and even started weaving through the trees.

Assignment #2: Beyond the bunny hill lies the great mountain... and therein lies allure

We Didn't Neglect Our Fashion

Jackson was one to point skis down and never look back

Cautious, yet successful, Emma advanced to the mountain on Day 3
